Abstract:Â
The SECUREDAC project aims to create a European secure testing environment dedicated to a technological challenge that evaluates state-of-the-art human-AI dialogue systems for defense applications. In an era where strategic autonomy in digital technologies is paramount, the project brings together leading experts and organizations to address the unique challenges of processing and managing classified information while ensuring data privacy and performance. Openchip, renowned for its high-performance and energy-efficient accelerator chips based on the RISC-V architecture, will drive the hardware integration and secure processing component of the project. The innovative testing platform will incorporate advanced microelectronic solutions to enhance the computational capabilities of dialogue systems, enabling them to justify responses with the necessary transparency and security demanded in defense use cases.
The project is structured around a competitive technological challenge whereby participating research teams will deploy and benchmark their solutions in a controlled, secure infrastructure. The challenge will be organized in close collaboration with representative defense users, ensuring that defined use cases are realistic and responsive to operational requirements. Through rigorous evaluation, the project will not only identify systems that excel in performance and privacy management but will also provide comprehensive feedback to stimulate further improvements. In addition, SECUREDAC will foster standardization and interoperability by engaging with stakeholders across the European Defence Technological and Industrial Base (EDTIB), ensuring that breakthrough solutions are rapidly adopted into operational settings.
