Short Idea

D-PHE leverages Trendimensional’s AI-powered virtual prototyping to develop an innovative training and simulation environment for humanitarian aid. The project creates immersive digital tools that support quality volunteer preparation and risk management, ensuring high-standard humanitarian interventions. Partners from technology, academia, and humanitarian sectors combine expertise to raise quality and safety in humanitarian operations.

Abstract

Digital Preparedness for Humanitarian Excellence (D-PHE) is an innovative project aimed at transforming humanitarian aid preparation through advanced digital solutions. By integrating Trendimensional’s cutting-edge AI-powered virtual prototypes and 3D design technology with rigorous training and quality assurance systems, D-PHE will provide a comprehensive platform to support high-quality humanitarian operations. The project responds to the call’s objectives by certifying organisations’ capacity to deliver superior humanitarian aid and solid volunteer preparation in line with the European Voluntary Humanitarian Aid Corps requirements.

The project will develop virtual simulation modules that enable prospective humanitarian volunteers to train in realistic digital environments, offering scenario-based exercises, risk management protocols, and safety standard implementations. This will be achieved by enhancing existing digital prototyping tools to cater to the specific needs of humanitarian operations, including the design of emergency aid kits, shelter layouts, and logistics planning.

A dedicated consortium of six partners brings together complementary expertise. Trendimensional, as the project coordinator, will lead the overall management and spearhead the development of AI-driven virtual prototyping enhancements. SolidarityTech will contribute advanced technological solutions and integration methods to ensure seamless module operations. Rescue Innovators, a leading humanitarian NGO, will provide vital field insights and ensure that the digital solutions meet real-world aid requirements. EuroAid University will design robust training curricula and simulation scenarios based on academic research and practical case studies. SafetyNet Solutions will oversee quality assurance processes and compliance with international safety standards, while Global Recovery Center will guide the roadmap for sustainable integration and future follow-up activities.

By combining digital innovation with humanitarian expertise, D-PHE aims to raise the bar for preparedness and quality in humanitarian aid initiatives. The project facilitates cross-sector collaboration, promotes best practices in volunteer training, and strengthens the overall emergency response capability of participating organisations. Through regular impact assessments, dissemination activities, and stakeholder engagement events, the project will ensure that its outcomes benefit a broad spectrum of humanitarian actors, fostering a resilient and adaptive support network ready to face future crises.
