Describe the opportunity:

The call focuses on enhancing Europe’s resilience to natural and human-made disasters. It supports innovative solutions to strengthen disaster risk management, improve early warning systems, and boost cross-border cooperation. Proposals should deliver advanced tools, technologies, and strategies for disaster preparedness and response, fostering community resilience. This call seeks projects that integrate cutting-edge digital technologies to improve Europe’s capacity to manage large-scale crises effectively.

Type of project to be developed:

Projects should focus on developing innovative solutions for disaster risk management (Innovation Action (IA)), including advanced technologies, digital tools, and strategies for crisis response. Emphasis is on enhancing preparedness, early warning systems, cross-border collaboration, and community resilience against disasters.

 

Who can apply:

Eligible applicants include research institutions, universities, industry partners, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), non-profit organizations, public authorities, and international organizations. Consortia must include participants from at least three different EU Member States or Associated Countries.

Eligibility criteria:

Eligible applicants for the call must form a consortium comprising at least three independent entities from three different EU Member States or Associated Countries. These consortia can include research institutions, universities, industry partners, SMEs, non-profit organizations, public authorities, and international organizations.

Eligible expenses

Personnel Costs, Subcontracting Costs, Equipment: Purchase, rental, or depreciation of equipment, infrastructure, or other assets directly used for the project. Travel Costs, Consumables and Supplies: Materials and supplies directly used for the project, such as lab materials or software licenses. Other Direct Costs: Costs not covered by other categories, including dissemination, publication, and patenting costs. Indirect Costs: A flat-rate of 25% applied to eligible direct costs (excluding subcontracting costs).
 
 
 

About the Consortium

The consortium is composed of seven entities, each bringing specialized expertise to address the water crisis in Catalonia. The consortium’s focus ranges from advanced water management and digital technologies to infrastructure development and public engagement. The collaboration aims to enhance the region’s water resilience through a coordinated approach to improve infrastructure, integrate innovative technologies, and promote sustainable water use practices.
